Duesseldorf - Cologne - Bonn

Three the most famous cities on the Rhine, in the heart of the largest German land Northern Rhine-Westphalia.

There, where the Roman swimming baths were, the medieval monastery was built later, and today there is Sankt-Martine's Cathedral. And we will meet these historical multi layering in Cologne constantly. In the downtown there is a special archaeological zone, where you can see the monuments, which are saved since the Roman times. Since the period of the Middle Ages, there is a Gothic Town Hall, decorated with 124 figures of the people, who glorified Cologne for the whole world. During the excursion you will hear not only stories, but also legends, for example, why the inhabitants of Cologne should do everything now and who protects their rest.
Since the 18th century the magical water is produced here, it helped from different diseases, sometimes it saved people from the plague. This magic water received the name " Eau de Cologne", the Cologne Water. In your free time you can get acquainted with the history of famous perfume brand in the Farina Fragrance Museum or visit another museum, if you wish. Cologne inhabitants speak a local dialect — Koelsch. Koelsch is also local beer, which will help you to quench your thirst after the excursion.
And after free time in Cologne you are expected by one more famous city in Germany - BONN, the city with more than 2000-year history. Bonn was the Roman outpost on Rhine for more than 400 years. Later it was conquered by Francs, and then by Normans. The city repeatedly collapsed, but was built up again. Bonn is known as the former capital of West Germany. The government block on the Rhine with Villa Hammerschmidt and the Schaumburg Palace remind of capital times. During the walking tour around the city we will be welcomed from far away by the majestic building of an ancient Muenster Cathedral. We go along Bonngasse, where the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born, and you can visit the famous museum during your free time. On the market square we will admire the building of a city town hall with its front staircase, which many celebrities climbed. At the beginning of the 19th century Bonn was visited by Goethe, and fascinated by this beauty, the Verbal artist wrote, that it is hardly possible to express this beauty in words. So present yourself this excursion and admire this beauty!
