Departure in the morning. Departure time depends on the city of departure and is reported when ordering a trip.
The Moselle Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Germany. The river carries its waters strongly looping, creating picturesque valleys flowing through the territory of France, Luxembourg and Germany. The Moselle, with its steeply descending vineyards, is one of the most expressive wine-making landscapes in the world. Here, between Koblenz and Trier, lies the homeland of Riesling. Castles and picturesque towns are located in the Moselle Valley, attracting many tourists.
Cochem. This romantic city is located in the very heart of the Moselle Valley, and if you walk along its promenade, you can see its amazing beauty, harmoniously combined with the mountain landscape and the smooth surface of the river. The vibrant historic center of Cochem is decorated with well-preserved half-timbered houses, the oldest part of the Catholic church parish of St. Martin's Church dating from the 15th century, seven city gates preserved from the former city fortifications built in the 14th century, Carlfritz-Nicolay square in the city center, market square with a baroque town hall and a fountain ... Your camera will not know peace!
Reichsburg Castle. The history of this castle is inextricably linked with the history of Cochem himself. Being not just a castle, but a real fortress, it stands indestructibly at an altitude of 100 meters and always dominated in the old days the main route connecting Germany and France. Despite its thousand-year history, this “grandfather” looks the same as at the time of his youth, and you will learn about all the secrets and traditions associated with him from our magnificent guide.
Going down the river, we will continue our journey on a comfortable pleasure boat. The landscape on the banks of the Moselle since the time of the Romans is considered one of the most beautiful romantic places in Germany and, perhaps, even Europe. This awarded the Moselle region with many titles: “The oldest wine-growing region of Germany”, “the most popular holiday destination”, “the most beautiful river landscape north of the Alps” ...
During a short pause, you can dine in any of the cozy, typically German restaurants.
After a short move in good condition, we will find ourselves in a fairy tale! Eltz Castle! (The castle is open from April to October inclusive. Admission is paid extra - 15 € for adults, 10 € for children under 12 years old). With its beauty and grandeur, it eclipses all the castles you have seen so far. Among other things, its uniqueness lies in the fact that it was never subjected to capture and defeat, even during the French Revolution. Being founded in 1157, for 800 years it belongs to one family and is maintained in pristine condition.
The ride is a pleasure! The ride is a shock!
In the evening, return. Arrival time depends on the city of departure.
